The North Fork Mountain Inn offers a wide variety of local attractions with-in close proximity.

Perhaps most surprising is scuba diving at Mt. Storm Lake which is a thermal heated lake at an altitude of 3,244 feet, also located about an hour from the inn. Sailing and windsurfing are also popular. Sailplane enthusiasts enjoy the strong March winds along the Allegheny Front.

Points of Interest in the area are: Smoke Hole Caverns, Seneca Rocks, Sites Homestead, Seneca Caverns, Top Kick’s Military Museum, Harper’s Old Country Store, Dolly Sods Wilderness Area, Spruce Knob (highest point in WV), Blackwater Falls, Cass Scenic Railroad, National Radio Astronomy Observatory, Potomac Eagle Train, historic and Civil War sites.

Other activities in the area include: swimming, bird watching, golf, paragliding, bowling, festivals, antiquing, shopping.
